Exciting NYC Holiday Traditions

No doubt you have seen the majestic Rockefeller Christmas tree in countless, star-studded, televised events. That doesn’t begin to compare to experiencing it here in close proximity.
The carefully-chosen Norway Spruce is positioned between the Rockefeller Center and the Rockefeller Ice Rink, and stands at 65-100 feet tall. More than 50,000 LED lights ensure spectacular color, with a three-dimensional Swarovski crystal star, weighing about 900 pounds, with 70 spikes covered in three million crystals, perched magnificently at the top. A truly breathtaking sight.
We will also take you through the renowned Dyker Heights in Brooklyn, where the residents compete each year for the most extravagant displays. Specific homes to watch for include that of Lucy Spata, who reportedly began this tradition; the Polizzotto home, or Toyland, as it’s fondly nicknamed; the Forest of Lights home, with each tree completely covered in dazzling lights; and the Community Mayor’s home, with its delightful, towering inflatable characters and balloons.
We know all the other glamorous New York City and Brooklyn neighborhoods that are worth a drive-thru, such as Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst, and the unimitable Saks Fifth Avenue with its gorgeous window decorations.
